Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how MarketLiberiAll, Inc. handles personal information when you use Maittes websites and customer apps. Maittes is the public commerce service of MarketLiberiAll, Inc.. MarketLiberiAll, Inc., Coffee Farm, Caldwell, Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia, is the contracting party.

We do not sell personal information.

Who this policy is for

This version applies to public commerce customers on maittes.com, services.maittes.com, homes.maittes.com, blog.maittes.com, and the Maittes customer app. It does not apply to Maittes Partners, Maittes GO, or MarketLiberiAll staff/admin workspaces, which have their own privacy notices.

Data we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Maittes as a customer.

  • Account and contact data: name, email, phone, credentials, date of birth where required, preferences, and support history.
  • Commerce data: cart, checkout, order, booking, inquiry, review, saved item, wallet, loyalty, receipt, refund, dispute, and return records.
  • Delivery address data: county, address, landmark, instructions, and contact details needed to complete an order. Precise continuous GPS from the customer device is optional and not required to browse Maittes.
  • Technical data: device information, app version, browser, IP address, session records, cookie identifiers, crash/error details, and fraud/risk signals.
  • Communications: support messages, emails, notification preferences, and consent records.

Location

Customer location is optional. You may provide a delivery address or approximate area without sharing live precise GPS. If you grant location permission, we may use it to suggest county coverage, delivery estimates, or nearby pickup points. We do not require background precise location to use the customer app.

Payments

We process payment method choice, transaction status, and refund records. Final payment status comes from MarketLiberiAll records and provider evidence. Cash on delivery, wallet, bank, and mobile money options appear only when enabled for that order.

LRD is the primary currency and USD is secondary. Amounts are always labeled when both are supported. Do not rely on a bare currency symbol without the stated currency.

GST and other tax treatment come from MarketLiberiAll runtime settings and the amount shown at checkout, on receipts, or in signed commercial records. This document does not invent a tax rate.

Legal bases and purposes

We process personal information where we have a valid basis, including consent for optional processing such as marketing; performance of a contract to provide accounts, orders, delivery, and support; legal obligation under Liberian tax, AML/CFT, court, or regulatory duties; and legitimate interests such as fraud prevention, security, and service improvement where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Consent can be withdrawn for optional processing through [email protected] or available opt-out controls. Withdrawal does not affect processing required for orders, law, safety, fraud prevention, or recordkeeping.

How we share data

We share only what is needed for the relevant purpose. We do not sell personal information.

  • Customers, partners, service providers, real estate partners, and Delivery Partners receive limited transaction information needed to complete the transaction or support case.
  • Payment providers, banks, mobile money providers, payout providers, fraud screening providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, email providers, push providers, and other processors receive data under security and confidentiality terms.
  • Staff and admins may access records only for assigned business purposes. Sensitive actions are logged. Segregation of duties applies to financial approvals.
  • Government, regulators, courts, law enforcement, tax authorities, or legal advisers may receive information where lawfully required or where needed to protect rights, safety, users, partners, MarketLiberiAll, or the public.
  • If MarketLiberiAll is involved in a merger, financing, investment, restructuring, asset transfer, or similar transaction, data may transfer with notice and continued protection commitments.

Cross-border processing

MarketLiberiAll is Liberian-operated, but technology providers, payment providers, security providers, cloud infrastructure, support tools, analytics tools, and communication channels may process information outside Liberia. We use contractual, technical, organizational, access-control, and vendor-diligence safeguards appropriate to the data and service.

Security and uploads

We use encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) for personal information in transit between browsers, mobile apps, and our servers. Access controls, logging, monitoring, staff confidentiality duties, restricted document access, short-lived access links, and incident response procedures also apply.

Files and documents submitted for listings, KYC, disputes, support, delivery evidence, or account records go through the platform object-storage pipeline: upload intent, quarantine, malware scanning, validation, processing, and review where required before final use. Private documents such as KYC records, contracts, payout records, dispute evidence, and staff evidence are not published as public media.

Retention and legal holds

We retain information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, platform operation, law, tax, accounting, AML/CFT controls, audits, legal claims, fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, or backup integrity. Illustrative retention windows, subject to legal change and holds, include: account and transaction records about five years from last relevant activity; delivery operational logs about two years; partner KYC documents about five years from account closure; customer support records about three years; and marketing consent records until consent is withdrawn.

Deletion requests are honored subject to open orders, balances, disputes, fraud or abuse concerns, legal holds, tax records, payment records, audit duties, and other lawful retention requirements. Order, tax, accounting, and AML/CFT records are not wiped on a 90-day schedule.

Backups and derived records are handled under their retention and deletion cycle.

Your choices, deletion, and rights

Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, marketing opt-out, and portable export through account privacy settings or [email protected].

You may delete optional profile fields, marketing preferences, or saved lists without deleting the whole account. Account deletion is a separate request. Deletion requests are honored subject to open orders, balances, disputes, fraud or abuse concerns, legal holds, tax records, payment records, audit duties, and other lawful retention requirements. Order, tax, accounting, and AML/CFT records are not wiped on a 90-day schedule.

Marketing choices do not stop transactional, safety, account, payment, legal, delivery, security, or support notices.

  • Crash logs and technical diagnostics are required to keep apps stable. They are used for reliability, security, and fraud prevention, not for advertising.
  • Expo mobile apps use device identifiers, app version, and secure device storage for sessions, push delivery, crash diagnostics, and fraud prevention.
  • Maittes and MarketLiberiAll Expo apps do not include a third-party advertising SDK.

Breach notification and contact

If a personal data incident creates a meaningful risk to affected people, MarketLiberiAll, Inc. will investigate, contain, document, and notify affected people or authorities where required by law or provider obligations. We aim to notify affected users within 72 hours after confirming a reportable incident where practical and lawful.

Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected]. Security concerns may be sent to [email protected]. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or registered contact channels with reasonable advance notice where practical.
